A Cozy and Creative Plant Experience for the Holiday Season in the DFW Area
Winter always feels like an invitation to slow down. The days get cooler, everything feels a little softer, and I find myself craving moments of creativity and connection. Terrariums are one of my favorite ways to bring warmth and life indoors during this season. There is something peaceful about building a tiny world inside a glass vessel and watching it grow.
I love hosting workshops because they create a shared moment where people get to try something new, connect with others, and leave with something beautiful. This Winter Wonderland Terrarium Workshop is one of my favorite events of the year.
Why Winter Terrariums Feel So Special
A terrarium is a tiny world you get to design and care for. It feels magical during winter because the glass creates a soft, snow globe feel that fits the season perfectly. At this workshop we will use lush moss, beautiful substrate layers, winter inspired details, twinkle lights, and Begonias that thrive in terrarium environments. Their colors and textures glow so beautifully inside a humid microclimate.
Terrariums work well because the closed environment holds moisture and creates the perfect conditions for these plants to grow. It is nature on a small scale and it makes such a calming addition to any home, especially during the holidays.

This event is cozy, calm, and lightly festive. We take our time, enjoy music, design our terrariums, and create pieces that feel personal. I love watching everyone settle into the creative process and seeing each terrarium become its own little world.
One of my favorite moments is when everyone lines up their finished terrariums for photos. It looks like a tiny winter forest filled with color and life.
