The holiday season always brings a natural shift in my world. The light changes. Plants respond differently. My workshops become cozier and more festive. This time of year is full of mindful plant care, seasonal styling, and the sweetest terrarium workshops here in Dallas Fort Worth.

I love sharing these behind the scenes moments, so this is a look at how I prepare for the winter season at Lauren and Plants.

Terrarium Workshop Prep for the Holiday Season

Before every workshop I move into a calm and intentional routine. I sanitize sphagnum moss, refresh my décor to match the season, and restock clear glass vessels. For winter I bring in twinkle lights, cool toned accents, and soft greenery to create a peaceful Winter Wonderland experience.

Each workshop is designed to feel simple, mindful, and creative. Guests build a terrarium using begonias and accent plants that thrive in closed environments.

Winter Plant Maintenance for Clients

Winter brings real changes to plant behavior. Growth slows. Light softens. Humidity drops. On my plant maintenance routes I adjust watering schedules, rotate plants for healthier light, and prepare homes for holiday hosting and travel.

This season is the perfect time for a reset, and supporting clients through that shift is one of my favorite parts of my job.

Seasonal Styling and Holiday Staging

Styling homes for the holidays is such a joy. I curate winter vessels, refresh styling kits, and bring natural greenery into client spaces. Norfolk pines, winter safe foliage, and minimal holiday accents create a beautiful but simple seasonal atmosphere.

Whether it is a full staging project or a small seasonal refresh, the goal is always connection and intention.

Holiday Plant Gifts and Custom Terrariums

Terrariums and plant gifts are some of the most thoughtful presents for the season. Each piece is personal, long lasting, and designed with care. I create custom terrariums and plant gifts for families, friends, clients, and holiday hosts who want something meaningful and unique.
